Q: I am getting a new bike, but I don't have the registration number what should I do?

A: You do not need a registration number to produce a quote. You need a valid registration number in order for your policy to be valid.

You can insure you bike on the last 6 digits of the frame number (also known as the chassis or VIN number).

This will produce a policy which will be sufficient to register your bike.

When you are issued with the registration number you must update your policy within 14 days.

Q: How can I pay for my bike insurance securely online?

A: You can pay for your bike insurance annually or monthly. Annual and PAYG payments can be made using either a Visa or Mastercard credit card or debit card. Monthly payments can be made from a nominated bank account by direct debit.

Q: What is the Duty of Disclosure?

A: Under the Insurance Contracts Act 1984, you have a Duty of Disclosure to the Insurer on every matter that you know, or could reasonably be expected to know, that could be relevant to the Insurer decision whether to accept the risk of the insurance and if so, on what terms.

A: The eBike Motorcycle Policy is an annual policy that offers outstanding cover and flexibility.

A: Yes, provided the named rider's licence (including learner riders) allows for it, any named rider is covered to ride any of the bikes on a policy.

Q: How do I renew my policy?

A: If you have an annual policy and wish to renew or change any details, all you need to do is log onto your account via the 'Customer Log In' on the left hand side of the homepage.
Once you are in 'Your Account' then you need to click on 'Confirm Renewal'. This will take you to the check details screen and if all is ok then you are able to renew by clicking on 'Next Step' and following this through to payment.

By clicking on "Confirm Renewal" you are not committing your self to renewing your policy. If you do not pay for your policy before the renewal date and time then the policy will automatically lapse and cannot then be reinstated.

For Pay As You Go Policies

If you are paying for one of these policies either by Credit or Debit Card you do not have to do anything as these policies renew automatically each month until you cancel.

Q: How do I go about canceling my policy?

A: In order to cancel your policy you need to log onto your account. To do this, from the eBike homepage go to the customer log in area on the left hand side and enter your policy number and supplied email address. This will take you to the 'Your account screen'. Click on the 'make changes to your policy'. This will give you a series of options. Scroll down until you see the option 'cancel your policy'. Click it, then select the time and date you want the policy to be cancelled. Follow the steps through to the end as you did when you took the policy out. Click confirm changes and follow the instructions to the end. Upon successful completion your policy will be cancelled.

If the insurance has commenced and provided that you have not made a claim, you will be entitled to a refund of the premium paid, subject to a deduction for the time you have been on cover and a deduction for our administration costs.

To cancel a policy log onto www.ebikeinsurance.com.au and select the ‘Make A Change To Your Policy’ option and click on the ‘Cancel Policy’ option.

These insurance policies are arranged for a period of 12 months and you are required to pay the full amount stated. If you cancel the insurance before expiry date, other than in accordance with the above and there have been no claims, you will be refunded a prorate amount less a $75.00 (excl GST) cancellation fee.Should you be entitled to a refund, a cheque will be issued and sent to you within 10 working days. The cost of add-on products that you purchase will be non-refundable (other than in accordance with the above charges. If there are any unpaid monies when the policy is cancelled, we may withhold documents such as no claims bonus to which you are entitled, until full payment is made.
